T-Tapp Christmas Party

You'd think that a fitness company would be a little skimpy when it comes to holiday treats and celebrations centered around food.  NOT at T-Tapp!  We all love food and that's part of the reason why the T-Tapp workout is so fabulous -- you don't have to diet to get results!  Do consistent workouts (or even a few T-Tapp exercises regularly) and you will be able to maintain and possibly even lose inches over the holiday season while enjoying treats and great eats.  YES You Can!  Try it for yourself here: http://t-tapp.com/try!

This year we did our annual Cookie Exchange and Secret Santa.  Unfortunately, I was really sick and took my first sick days of the year, which meant that I skipped the baking this time around. (Sorry guys!)  Luckily my coworkers are awesome and sent me home with a huge plate of cookies anyway.  Plus, I got to enjoy that yummy cupcake from a friend.

On the Winter Solstice (December 21st) the T-Tapp staff headed over to Cello's Charhouse restaurant in Safety Harbor -- a quaint, colorful eatery right off of Main Street.  They welcomed our party with open arms.  We started off sampling the various wines that Teresa brought over and crunching on char-grilled pita triangles with Parmesan cheese.

And a delicious salad with Goldfish crackers.

Beer Cheese Soup with Popcorn. Sooo good!

I ordered the bacon wrapped filet wrapped in mushroom saunce with perogies and winter squash.

Lauren and I shared a slice of Lemon Butt Cake. They called it that because apparently the cake goes right to your rear.

Thank you for the wonderful meal, Teresa!  It's always a pleasure spending time away from the office with my coworkers.

The moon was ripe and ready for the eclipse.  I wasn't feeling well and went straight to bed, so I missed it. *sad face* But I did snap this picture, which doesn't do the moon any justice.  It truly was looking magical.

{ weekend } If I Can Dream

"HELLO July ’08" a.k.a. "Madame and Monsieur"
{ I ♥ art by kitty genius }

I apologize for the LONG delay in my posts, yet again. I spent my entire Friday and Saturday in bed. Literally. Not sure if I had food poisoning or a stomach virus, but I could hardly even walk upright due to all the pain. Ended up sleeping most of the holiday weekend and watching the entire season on If I Can Dream on Hulu.com. (What can I say, I get addicted to these shows and Hulu automatically plays the next episode. ♥) No fireworks, friends or BBQs for me over the 4th of July weekend. I did not go farther than the grocery store (less than 1 mile from my apartment). It's a sad time for me anyway... remembering a special friend that I lost on the 4th of July 6 years ago now. Although I never shared about my loss on this blog, those who know me understand how deeply this friend changed my life.

Weekend Highlights

I did manage to make some delicious red velvet cupcakes that used beet puree to give the coloring. Will be doing a special post for this later tonight.

I finally launched my newest blog project AdoringLife.com! This blog pulls together all of my passions in one place... art, photography, travel, design, fashion, going green... and more. All things I adore will be posted on this new blog, instead of me having to keep up with several different blogs. (Don't worry, you'll still find T-Tapp into Fitness right here. If I ever make any moves with this blog you'll be the first to know.)

Here's to new beginnings!

Seeing Red

Last night my right eye started to bother me and it got really red. I mean really red. A few years back I kept getting pink eye every few months, so I went back to my eye doctor this morning. She said that I have Iritis, which is swelling and irritation of the middle layer of the eye. It's probably due to some environmental thing, such as pollen or mold because this happens to be almost every March. I've never been allergic to anything before. Have to say that it's not fun at all.

My eye drops: one for the healthy dry eye and one for the inflamed red eye.

Have a checkup next Friday. Also need to get my vision checked. Think I need glasses!

Exercise

Tempo Lower Body Standing + body/face brushing.

I woke up before the sun to squeeze in a workout. My body has been screaming for it this week. Feeling SO much better now. Might do some floor exercises tonight too.

Hitting the FIR sauna after work with Jen today. Can't wait!

Eats

Brekkie

Raspberry Green Monster.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup frozen organic raspberries
  • 2 cups fresh organic spinach
  • 1 cup Silk Almond Milk
  • 1 Tbsp organic flax
  • 1/4 tsp bee pollen
  • cold water

Will be switching to blueberries next week... these seeds are driving me nuts.

Tea

I treated myself to Starbucks on the way home from the eye doctor, but not an espresso latte...

Grande Vanilla Rooibos Nonfat Latte.

I think I've found my new favorite!

Lunch

Kashi Mayan Harvest Bake.

Doesn't look much like the photo on the box after the microwave...
it was pretty tasty though!

Snacked on some of the cut of veggies in this salad.

Massage Does My Body Good

I enjoyed another fantastic massage by Margie this morning. She makes a world of difference for my body!

I'm still suffering with this sinus/throat thing. Ugh. Last night was MUCH better for sleep though. Got to bed way before midnight and I think that really helped. During the W.I.S.H. Summit I remember Marci Shimoff (author of Happy for No Reason) mentioned to go to sleep before 10pm because the sleep before midnight is twice as powerful as after midnight. When sick or stressed she suggests going to bed 3 nights in a row before 10pm, ideally by 930pm. I'm going to try it!

Eats

Brekkie

Cherry Green Monster.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup organic frozen cherries
  • 2 cups fresh organic spinach
  • 1 cup Original Almond Breeze
  • 2 Tbsp MILA
  • 1 tsp organic bee pollen
I know it looks like mud, but it was pretty darn tasty!

Snack

Honey Almond Granola.

{ first processed carb in 2 days!!! }

Lunch

Rotisserie Chicken Salad with Reduced Fat Feta.

21 Jump Street

No exercise tonight... just a bunch of lounging on the couch watching 21 Jump Street on Netflix.com. Johnny Depp is dreamy. I'm still feeling pretty bad. Have a massage really early in the morning and I'm hoping that will make a difference.

Also need to refill my Kangen water tomorrow and might have time for the FIR sauna if I play my cards right.

2 Scrambled Eggs and Salad.

So Tired

I had the worst night's sleep EVER last night. Think I woke up about 8 times to someone coughing up a storm or the dog barking or gasping for air.

I'm starting to get sick and trying my damnedest to prevent it. Headaches, sore and red throat with stuffiness and the drip. Not fun. I still made it to the office though... almost an hour late. Have to make that $$!

Eats

Brekkie

Although I really don't feel like eating a thing...

Raspberry Green Monster.

Hot Green Tea at the office too.

Lunch

Leftover Chicken Satay and Coconut Brown Rice.

Missing the broccoli today!

Greek Yogurt Trend

Last night I started feeling really bad before I left work, almost like I have a stitch in my left side. Then around 11pm it spread over to my stomach with severe cramping. Not sure what's going on, but I felt horrible.

This morning I'm feeling a lot better, but just very sleepy. TGIF! Will be sleeping in for sure tomorrow. Thank goodness it passed...

Food Log

Snack

Before leaving the office I had a late afternoon snack...

Chobani 2% Pineapple Yogurt.

I'm officially addicted to these! At the market yesterday they were sold out of every flavor except pomegranate and plain. Guess this trend is catching on!

Greek yogurt has lower sugar and higher protein with a smoother texture. Its better for you than the regular stuff! Check out this article: Greek Yogurt vs. Regular Yogurt

Snack #2

It was after 7:30pm by the time I got home. The streets are wet from all the rain, luckily there wasn't much traffic.

I snacked on some Stacey's Pita Chips with Sabra Hummus.

Dinner

Bourbon Salmon Salad.

This was SO good that I ate every last bite and may repeat this dinner tonight!

Today's food intake was very Mediterranean of me!

Step Away From the Computer

Ever get the feeling like you're online too much? Reading, researching, writing, hiving, stumbling-upon, Facebooking and Tweeting... real time can fly when you're surfing in the digital world.

So I said to myself, "Step away from the computer and create something real."

Then spent my afternoon creatively making a glam vintage crystal mobile from found objects. It's been too long since I've made something like this. Check out my recycled eye candy...

Today's Workout:

Today's Food Log:

My Pumpkin Green Monster was the same as Thursday's. Delicious. I did have more hot tea as well.

Today's Supplements:

Alfalfa: 6 caps

Saturday, November 5th

I started feeling much better today. Not as congested as the past few days with lighter headaches. Almost feeling normal again... and I really messed up my eating because of that.

Today's Workout:

Primary Back Stretch, Hoe Downs
and Body Brushing

Today's Food Log:

Overall, most of my food choices today were bad ideas and made me feel sicker. Lucky Charms for brekkie -- not smart.

We went out to dinner at Ban Thai, my favorite Thai place in town. Sushi sounded like a great idea until I actually ate a bite. Then it just made me feel sick due to the texture. I wish I ordered my go-to Thai dish instead, panang chicken and brown rice.

I wanted Starbucks really bad today for some reason, so I got a tall latte. It was ok because it was hot, but didn't make me feel any better. Don't know why I decided to get an ice cream... that was the worst. I think my body wanted to implode by that point so I took a bunch of Alfalfa, drank water and couched it. Feeling yucky!

Why did I do this to myself? My body needs veggies, not junk. confused

Today's Supplements:

Alfalfa: 9 caps
Cellfood: 8 drops
Jus: 1 ounce

Sinusalia - Sinus Congestion
Roxalia - Sore Throat

I did Marcel's hair tonight! mrgreen Shaved the sides and dyed the red. It looks like new again... and it was fun to do!

Here's the Roxy picture of the week...
