This morning we went straight to the Ybor City Fresh Market. Although most of the fruits and veggies were imports (due to the slow growing summer season in Florida), I did find some local items to purchase.

Non-local Items:
  • Romaine lettuce
  • Asparagus
  • Green and yellow peppers
  • Pomegranate infused raw honey

Local Items:

  • Verbena Coconut Lime soap
  • Ybor City Fresh Market soap
  • White Tea & Ginger Micky Mouse sample soap

My breakfast was probably the worst egg and cheese and lemonade I have ever had. Will not be going to that vendor again. Next time I'll get a waffle. The market had a lot more than just food. I really loved that soap vendor. It smelled so good. There were also a lot of crafts, art, orchids, hats and scarfs.

Then we went to Whole Foods for water and other stuff...

  • Organic Iced Oatmeal Cookies
  • Organic Lowfat Milk with Cream on Top
  • Organic Lowfat Plain Yogurt
  • Fresh Blueberries
  • Roasted Almond Butter
  • Can of Organic Diced Tomatoes
  • Red Onion
  • Organic Beets
  • Organic Carrots
  • Amazing Grass and Soy Protein Powders

This afternoon I took a well-deserved 2 hour nap! I love Saturdays. Then I cleaned up the house a bit and got ready to go to the Roller Derby! Now we're about to head out the door. Can't wait to watch it tonight. More later...
