{ weekend } Gasparilla Pirate Fest


Some how my camera got stuck in this crazy shooting mode, so I ran with it.


Saturday, January 30th


Got up fairly reasonable time this morning... trying to get into party mode for the Gasparilla festivities today. We're heading over to my friends house and crossing our fingers that it doesn't rain all day.


Today's Workout:


Primary Back Stretch + lots of walking.



Today's Food Log:


Brekkie

Scrambled Eggs, Whole Wheat Toast with Butter and Organic Romaine.




Party Time


Dance Party Room ♥

Once at the party I snacked on a few things...
  • Chips and 7 Layer dip
  • Tiny Pigs in a Blanket
  • Baby Carrots
  • Raw Broccoli

And enjoyed a couple cold beers from the keg while we tried to wait out the rain...






Parade

We walked a few blocks down to the parade. The weather was horrible; raining lightly and really windy, especially since we were at the edge of the water. My umbrella was blowing out and there was nothing I could do about it. A poncho would have been fantastic. Last year it was a beautiful day for a parade, this year not so much.


Wishing we were at that house party behind us, dry.

Lunch

Had some pita chips and hummus when we got back... and another beer.


Dinner

Then we ordered some to-go from Smoke.



Unfortunately, since the area was slammed with so many pirates it took over an hour for us to get our cold food.

I ordered the Chicken Kabob, which came with Bell Peppers, Pineapple and Onions and Green Beans and Sweet Potato on the side.



Marcel ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Fries. I had a few bites of his too.



Relaxing on the couch. This photo has a vintage feel.


Dessert

Once home I ate a Coconut Popsicle... and crashed on the couch.

Took the day off to recuperate, rejuvenate and do my taxes.

Kashi Whole Wheat Biscuits Island Vanilla with original Almond Breeze and frozen blueberries.




Lunch

Scrambled Eggs with Organic Romaine and Whole Wheat Buttered Toast.




Snack

1/2 Kind Fruit & Nut Delight.




And later, a little of the couscous tabbouleh.




While cooking dinner I snacked on some Saltine Crackers and Cheddar Cheese.


Dinner

Organic Chicken Chili with Saltine Crackers.






Dessert

I was seriously craving chocolate this evening, so Marcel ran to our neighborhood market and came home with some Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Macadamia ice cream. We shared the container.

P.S. I can't believe it's February already! Things to look forward to: Our 5 year anniversary, Valentine's Day, and a weekend road trip to Atlanta.
