Beautiful Friday

What a beautiful Friday! The weather in Tampa is fantastic. Not too hot or cold. Time to open the windows and let the outside in.

This morning I pulled on my workout shoes and pushed play on Basic Plus Tempo. Love that little 18-minute workout! I feel so much better when I stretch in the morning.

But my left side is hurting bad -- mainly my trap and neck. I think I slept in a strange position or something. I'm putting on the Biofreeze and trying to rub/stretch it out. Nothing is really helping too much right now. I NEED A MASSAGE! (And probably an adjustment too.)

8:15am: oatmeal with whole banana, walnuts, coconut, Fall honey

Morning Supplements:
Alfalfa: 3 caps
Cellfood: 4 drops
Gentle Transition: 2 caps
Jus: 1 ounce
Priority Women's Complete Multi: 2 caps
Wobenzym: 3 tablets

12:30pm: veggie soup (made from leftover stuffed pepper mix with added purple cabbage, zucchini and celery, cous cous tabouleh and organic chicken stock)

Looks exactly the same as yesterday's photo.

Afternoon Supplements:
Alfalfa: 3 caps
Gentle Transition: 2 caps
Priority Women's Complete Multi: 2 caps
Wobenzym: 3 tablets

4:25pm: low fat cottage cheese, organic gala apple, sliced almonds and coconut

7:00pm: turkey taco salad with Garden of Eaten blue corn chips

7:30pm-9:30pm: 2 Shock Top beers

After dinner I got a shoulder massage and feel soooooo much better. I had tons of knots in my shoulders -- it was bad!

10:00pm: Ezekiel toast with organic PB and strawberry jelly

Yum!

Hiya! If you have time, how do you make the Turkey Taco Salad? Maybe I didn't look in the right place on the blog. Will have another look.
Love the blog - really inspirational!

Hi Justine! Thanks for your comment. I'm glad you're enjoying my blog!

The Turkey Taco Salad is super easy. The first step is to brown a pound of ground turkey - I usually go for the lower fat one. My favorite taco seasoning is by McCormick because they don't use any additives or fake ingredients. They make a mild and spicy version - both are yummy. Add the seasoning by following the directions on the packet.

Make a salad using romaine or your favorite lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and any other veggies of choice. Shred some cheddar cheese - you may opt for a lower fat version, I like Cabot 50% reduced fat white cheddar. All Cabot cheeses are excellent.

Plate your salad, add a scoop or so of the seasoned turkey, top with cheese and lowfat sour cream or Greek yogurt.

In this meal I paired it with Garden of Eaten blue corn chips - making sure I only gave myself ONE serving on the plate. For lower carb options skip the chips.

Enjoy! :)
