On the Town: Ybor City

Have to say that I totally blew my T'appy Holidays workouts this week. BUT I am feeling SO much better now that this cold is almost completely done. The weather warmed up considerably today... from the 50s yesterday to the 70s-80s today. Maybe that's also why I'm feeling better. It's sunny out!

Today's Workout:

Primary Back Stretch, Hoe Downs, Walking and Body Brushing

Today's Food Log:

3:30pm: coffee with Silk French Vanilla creamer, Bacon Egg and Cheese on 12 Grain English Muffin

6:30pm: Bahama Breeze leftovers for lunch (Jerk Chicken Pasta, a few Firecracker Shrimp) and salad

7:15pm: some Sour Patch kids

9:45pm: Starbucks iced grande nonfat vanilla latte

We decided to go to Ybor City and hang out for the night while showing Dan around town.

First stop was I ♥ New York Pizza...

10:20-12:00pm: Budweiser Beer, Blue Moon

Next stop was an Irish pub... where we ran into another guy with a mohawk and listened to live Irish music.

And then the last stop of the evening was The Castle...

When we got home I was starving... so I made some brekkie for dinner.

2:30am: egg and cheese with spinach on Ezekiel toast

Today's Supplements:

Alfalfa: 3 caps
Jus: 1 ounce
Priority Women's Complete Multi: 3 caps

Rise of Saturn & Rude Squad

I got a text from my old friend Eric about his show tonight. Rise of Saturn is a newer band that is composed of the members from one of my all-time favorite local bands, WeakSauce. I also like Rude Squad, but haven't heard of the other bands before. Should be fun tonight!

Ugh!!! I forgot to measure again. Geez. *rolls eyes*

9:15am: Bay Coast Coffee Market 1/2 lemon poppyseed muffin, 1/2 pumpkin spice latte

Latte was not as good as Panera or Starbucks. :(

After breakfast Teresa guided us through 10 sets of Hoe Downs! Burn baby, burn!

That's going to be my workout for today since it's Friiiiiday and we're going out on the town.

2:00pm: leftover soup and salad, 1 slice whole wheat garlic bread

I didn't take any supplements or drink water this morning. What is wrong with me?

Afternoon supplements:

Alfalfa: 3 caps
B-12: 4 sprays
Priority Women's Complete Multi: 2 caps

Water: 1 liter

After work Jen took us to recycle and then to La's house. We hung out for a bit waiting for the guys to finish up their days before heading out to the show.

You have no idea how excited I am about this. I absolutely love this product because it makes me feel fantastic and it actually tastes good. More on this later...

La made me "dinner"!

5:30pm: egg over easy (cooked in butter) with slice of Ezekiel toast

And we enjoyed some beer...

X 2!

Jesse drove us back to my apartment and then Marcel drove us to the show. I've never been in the back seat of my car before!

We had a blast at the show! It's fun catching up with old friends... and making new ones. I took a bunch of shots of the bands, but none of them really turned out that well. (My camera doesn't take good photos in the dark with stage lighting and lots of movement.) We jammed out to the music until the last band was done.

Over the course of the evening I drank too much beer... and not enough water.

Good times with Great friends!

Back at home (by 1am) we were starving, so I made Marcel a bacon, egg and cheese sammie on whole wheat and had a couple bites, plus 1 slice of bacon and a cookie. That cookie was NOT a good idea. Plus, I drank a ton of water. So tired now. The rest of the weekend will be for recovering...

JOURNAL
Breakfast sure did fill me up today!

We're on our way to take the puppy to this Paw Fest in Largo. She hasn't been out to the park since the week before my wreck. So she really needed to get out and about. She was a happy little girl! The Largo Central Park is beautiful. They have a train (you can hop on) running around the park. The grounds looked immaculate and I always love the trees. It was a gorgeous day to get outside and enjoy the sunshine!

Roxy enjoying the park.

Tonight was the Ska Fest in Tampa. We have not been out since the accident... so I figured we should get out, why not. Plus, I knew some friends playing the show. We caught a ride to the show and hung out all night. It was great to be out, BUT I'm not ready for it yet. After a couple hours my back and body started hurting from all that standing (so I ended up sitting down for the rest of the night). I did make sure not to bop my head around, so my neck wouldn't get hurt. My head hurts and I was ready to go home sooner than I would have normally. Overall it was a fun night, but it's going to be a while before I go out again. Most likely the No Doubt concert on June 2nd. (I'm psyched about that!)

So lesson learned! Goodnight.
