Strong Girl T-Tapp + Fresh Watermelon Green Smoothie

Bonjour!  This evening's exercise session was T-Tapp's Ladybug Workout - Standing, about a 40-minute routine.  Just me, my sneakers and ladybug towel, Teresa Tapp on my DVD player, a glass of alkaline water and some (magical) Pyruvyl Glycine... I felt like I broke a plateau tonight.  I was seriously doing some strong girl T-Tapp!  You know, activating all of your muscles, including those toes and core, for full fiber fitness.  I've done Ladybug before, but tonight was different... maybe it was the PG!  The Ladybug Workout already takes muscle activation to a new level, building upon the original T-Tapp Total Workout form, and increases lymphatic and neuro-kinetic flow even more.

Last year to date, almost exactly, T-Tapp Trainer Lani Muelrath sent out her FitDream Ezine (Thanks for archiving your newsletters, Lani!) with a testimonial from one of her clients about her thoughts between what she calls "lazy girl T-Tapp" and "strong girl T-Tapp".  Here's the full article on Lani's site: http://thetruthaboutfatlossforwomen.com/2009/09/27/strong-girl-t-tapp

I'm feeling SO much better after my workout!  Next time I'll try to do the entire Ladybug Workout Combo, which includes Standing (40 minutes) and Floor (26 minutes).  The combination is even more intense and focuses on hormonal balance (and release) as well as targeting rib to knee... also known as the "ladybug" area!

Eats

Brekkie

Green Smoothie:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • A few fresh watermelon chunks
  • 2 cups fresh organic spinach
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • bee pollen and a little honey

Lunch

2 Scrambled Eggs with Organic Romaine and Tomatoes.

Cup of Pacific Organic Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Soup.

Actually the soup made my tummy ache... and that brand and flavor usually doesn't.  I only ate about half of what you see here.  Not sure if it was the acidity of the tomato or that the soup was "off".

So shortly after lunch I ended up snacking on some Granola.

Dinner on the Cheap

Red Beans, Brown Rice, Broccoli, Jalapeno, Garlic, Green Onion, Cheddar and Sour Cream.

Snack

Spoonfuls of Fresh Peanut Butter and Local Summer Honey.

...what I really want is chocolate...

Hello Sun Rise!

Yes, I sometimes take photos while driving at 60+ mph.

Healthy Habits

Body Care
Oil Pulling - check!
Body Brushing - check!
Workout - check! I did Ladybug Workout Standing this morning with Margie.

I skipped the sauna today. Could not imagine getting in there when I was already sweating, but you know what... I should have done it anyway.

Nourishment
Water - check! Drank more than 2 liters today. I need more Kangen water! Planning on getting a few smaller gallon or 3 gallon sized jugs this week.
Veggies - check! 5 servings today.
Fruits - check! 3 servings today.

Besides the taco shells I ate at lunch everything else was in line with T-Tapp's God-made Man-made Dietary Guidelines. I did pretty darn good on eating clean today. Will try to move back to more of my healthy eating habits this week... and hopefully get my hands on a blender!

Supplements
Alfalfa - 1/2 a check! Need to get back into my supplement routine. Only got in 3 caps today.
Natural Calm - Raspberry Lemon - check! 1 tsp for now... working my way back up to a full serving.

Eats

Brekkie

Organic Romaine.

Yes, just romaine... munched on in the car while on the way to drop Marcel off at the airport. I am seriously (and I mean seriously) missing my Green Monsters!!! He's visiting with his sister and family in Georgia for the rest of the week. Roxy was begging - literally - for some romaine centers. She loves crunching on them. (Don't tell her, but I'm pretty sure she thinks that it's a "treat"!)

It was an early morning for me!!! I was up by 5:30am. Before the sun! Don't know how other people do that all the time. Ah-hem, Jeanne among other Daybreak Divas! I'd have to be in bed before 10pm to be able to get up this early. Although the traffic wasn't bad at all... that's a plus. AND I got to watch the sun rise... love that!

Still in need of real substance I stopped at Jamba Juice for a blended breakfast.

Bright Eyed and Blueberry 16 oz Smoothie.

Steel-cut Oats topped with Fresh Banana and Cinnamon Brown Sugar for $2 extra on Tuesdays!

Hands down this oatmeal beats the Starbucks Perfect Oatmeal!

Lunch

Marcel's leftover tacos. These things were HUGE! I stuffed some more of that organic romaine in the tacos and dipped them in guac and a little queso.

Dinner

Fried Egg (in EVOO) on 1/2 Ezekiel English Muffin with more Organic Romaine.

I spent the evening doing what I've been doing for the past two weeks -- cleaning and organizing my stuff. Stuff, Stuff, STUFF!!! It's taking over the planet. Ever see The Story of Stuff? You should check it out.

Well, it's now past 11pm and I'm hungry again... go figure. Time to drink some Natural Calm, water and get some beauty rest. Working out again (or trying to) with Margie in the morning.

Au revoir!

Ladybug for International Women's Day

Workout

2 sets of Hoe Downs after lunch.

In honor of International Women's Day I decided to do Ladybug Workout tonight!

I really wasn't feeling that well physically, but needed to move my body. Ladybug Workout was a great mix between rehab, stretching and core building strength moves. I will be keeping this one in the rotation for a little while. I did just the standing portion, which was about 40 minutes.

Food Log

Snack

Chobani 2% Pineapple Yogurt.

Dinner

I experimented tonight with a new recipe - and ended up tossing it out. Messed something up along the way with this Naked Ravioli. It turned out doughy, even after a longer baking time.

:: sigh ::

Thankfully I also made Marcel some stuffed shells. They were delicious!

2 Stuffed Shells, a bite of Naked Ravioli and Salad.

Enjoyed with a glass of Smoking Loon Pinot Noir.

Naked Ravioli look yummy, but failed the taste test.

Supplements

Alfalfa: 3 caps
nutraMetrix® Glucosatrin Bone & Joint Formula: 1 cap
nutraMetrix® Isotonix Calcium Complete: 1 serving

Water intake: 2 liters

Mini-workout + massage in the morning... off to bed.

Killer Workout, Housewarming Party, Relaxing

I slept in... gotta love Saturdays.

11:00am: 1 scrambled egg, FEED Cranberry Coconut Granola

Pre and During Workout supplements:
B-12: 6 sprays
Cellfood: 8 drops
Pyruvyl Glycine: 8 sprays

Ladybug Workout is where its at! I did Ladybug Workout Standing and really pushed my form. That is one killer workout! I think I'm sticking with this one for a while... will alternate with Step it to the Max. I can tell that Ladybug really makes me activate my muscles more - or in a different way than the original T-Tapp workout. It's always a progression... there's always another way to push yourself to the max.

Another one of the beautiful aspects T-Tapp workouts... they only get more challenging as you get stronger because you can focus to push more in a certain area. I love that about T-Tapp. Also love that T-Tapp is a recession proof workout. Buy it once and that's it. No gym membership and no extra costs with unlimited (free tech support), except for that new wardrobe you're going to have to buy because you've lost so many inches. Gotta love that!

Vally & Matty Lookalike Art
Seriously, it looks exactly like them!

After my workout we headed over to Matty & Vally's Housewarming Party in Dunedin. I've already been to their place, so that was no surprise. But it was also an engagement announcement party (already knew that one too)!!! I'm so happy for them.

3:30pm: snacked on some dried veggie chips on the drive over

Ingredients: Sweet Potatoes, Squash, Carrots, Taro, Green Beans, Canola Oil, Dextrin, Sea Salt.

I'm in love with these veggie chips!

4:30pm-6:30pm: 1 lite beer and a smorgasbord of food, starting with...

Also split another mini-cheeseburger slider with Marcel, ate some more fresh fruit, another crab thingy, 1 sausage ball, and 2 small glasses of champagne. Everything was delicious! And after my tough workout today I don't feel the least bit "guilty".

8:30pm: more veggie chips + Sabra Roasted Pine Nut Hummus, 1 lite beer

That is one yummy snack!

9:30pm: whole wheat angel hair pasta with broccoli, oregano olive oil, garlic, parmesan cheese and spices

Evening supplements:
Alfalfa: 3 caps

Water: 1.5 liters

Tomorrow I'm working a little OT to make some progress on my newest project... posting the 2009 60-Day Challenge Winners asap. They will be up quickly this time, as I promised!
